Greedfell

The monstrous swindlers choked upon their feast's delights ,

Effacing natural rights, emboldening stay of dread,

Quadrangling senses pentangled in human head,

While jurisprudence overlooks their god-given rights.

Riding roughshod over laws for those without might:-

Their painted jade, clad gaudily, to fire was fed;

Then came politicians, who strangled what was said,

But still it burned into the sleeping land and night:-

Where those who stood there contemplated their last days:

Turned to disbelief from haunting empty windows,

Their highest vision now a skeleton of ways;

In crematorium enclosed, or death below,

When greed choked poverty and both then fell from height.
